Urgent Care moves, expands, and now has a direct phone line!!
Under the direction of Dr. David Parker, formerly from our Pembroke Office, Harbor Medical's Urgent Care Office has expanded and is now located in Suite 414 in the Stetson Building. The office is located on the fourth floor, and is best accessed by the North Entrance elevator (next to the loading dock).
The new Urgent Care Center hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
At this time, the Urgent Care Center is available to patients who are seen by Harbor Medical physicians. You can either call your Harbor Medical physician's office to schedule your appointment, or call the Direct Patient Line at 781-952-1433. Visits to the Urgent Care Center are by appointment only.
Harbor Adds 2 new providers to our Family Practice Suite
Harbor Medical is pleased to welcome two new Board Certified Family Medicine Physicians to our Family Practice Suite.
Dr. Winfred del Mundo is a graduate of Guthrie Clinic/Robert Packer Hospital.
Dr. Sarah Sciascia is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia.

Harbor Medical is excited to announce the beginning of our Allscripts Electronic Health Record roll out. Stay tuned as we go live, site by site. The first site to go live was Cardiology, at our 541 Main St., South Weymouth Office on September 29, 2009. Our next sites, beginning Wednesday, January 13, 2010, also at 541 Main St., include our Family Practice Suite (Suite 301), Internal Medicine and Endocrinology Suite (Suite 210), the Wellness Center (Suite 101) and our Urgent Care Suite (Suite 414). HARBOR'S HEMATOLOGY/ONCOLOGY SERVICES MOVE TO NEW CANCER CENTER
On October 5, 2009, Harbor Medical Associates' Hematology/Oncology Department will move and join the new Dana Farber/Brigham & Women's Cancer Center in clinical affiliation with South Shore Hospital. Rolf Freter, M.D., PhD., Harbor Medical's Chief of Hematology/Oncology, along with Lisa Manera, M.D., and Meredith Faggen, M.D., will provide hematology/oncology services at the Cancer Center under the medical direction of Dr. Freter.

Harbor Medical patients can now pay their account balances on-line through our web site. It's fast, convenient, and secure.
To do so, please click on the “Pay My Bill” link and you will be just a few clicks away from completing your transaction in a safe and secure environment. When complete, you will receive a confirmation email for your records.
Our site utilizes security tools from Trustwave and Authorize.net, two industry leaders in encrypted, secure transactions, to ensure that all transactions are completed safely and securely.

Managing Your Blood Pressure
H1N1 Vaccine Update 12/2/09
Harbor Medical Associates recently received a small shipment of the H1N1 flu
vaccine.
Based on the recommendations from the Center for Disease Control (CDC),
while supplies last, Harbor Medical will offer the H1N1 vaccine to the following:
• Pregnant women
• Household contacts and caregivers of infants younger than 6 months old
• Infants, children, and young adults 6 months – 24 years old
· Pulmonary (including asthma)
· Cardiovascular (except hypertension)
· Renal, hepatic, hematologic, , or metabolic disorders (incl. diabetes mellitus)
· Cognitive, neurologic or neuromuscular disorders, such as cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy and developmental delays
· Immunosuppression (incl. that caused by medications or by HIV)
